Last month's Google Analytics reports on my blog gives me this interesting keyword search stat.. Satan worship in Kerala   ( 18 visits ) Satanic worship in Kerala   ( 8 visits ) devil worship in Kerala      ( 4 visits ) Satan worship in Cochin     (4 visits ) Satan worshippers in Kerala ( 2 visits ) ...and some more with one hit each In total about 40 Devil related keyword searches reached my blog last month.. But wondering what's the reason behind this sudden spike in interest with devil among Mallus.. Is it because of exam season or something ?        Phew..Just gave my end term exam and now a 10 day break.. Lot of interesting incidents, a great batch and awesome campus..Quite lot of incidents..Below are a few quotable quotes which I came across in this term..      1. Orkutting is fun..Its even funnier with this thing called 'mutual friends'..I know that it is not recent, but still there are a couple of interesting stuff thats associated with this.. There is something called as 'Six-degrees of separation' .. What it means is not that every two guys in world would be connected by 'six hops'.. It just says that the average number of 'hops' would be six.. There have been experiments to verify this concept in facebook, where the average hop-length turned out to be 5.73 ( Strong validation , I should say ) In the last couple of months, my orkut friends list increased from sub-300 levels to 470+ ( and still growing ) owing to IIMK admission..I've started looking into the mutual friends list whenever I get a new connection..And there have been instances when I got literally startled like " Oh..How does he know HER ? " . . OR .. "Oh..man, she knows that bugger? How come? " ......

I had to post this.. Or rather rediff gave me an opportunity .. See this news -- Impressed by Tata's One Lakh car, Sanjay Dutt chose that to gift a Tata Nano to his girl friend Manyata.. It also reports that he chose Nano over a 4 Crore car :-).. I wonder what Manyata's reaction was when she heard this 4 Crore - 1 Lakh swap ..Or call it economics of love .. Assuming he had 4 Crore money for this purpose, he can split it and give it to 400 girl-friends, past present and future.. Makes sense..Isn't it ?

Couldn't resist posting about this.. Got a mail in NITC alumni group about the 'code of conduct' published recently in NITC..The document link is this Some quotable quotes from the pdf .. 1. " Students are expected to spend their free time in the Library/Reading Room. They shall not loiter along the verandahs or crowd in front of the offices or the Campus roads. Students should refrain from sitting on places such as parapets, stairs, footpaths etc" -- Sitting in Raj-path & "looking around" used to be one of the favorite time pass of NITC'ians (or CREC'ians ) from long time back itself.. I wonder who's going to enforce this.. Are they going to appoint someone who'll chase out the students from Raj-Path in a typical school master style ? 2. "NITC Campus is a “Smoking free Campus”. " -- I didnt know that :) ..I'm not a smoker, but I really don't find anything wrong in someone smoking within their confines...

Last week one of my friends was talking to me about the insane levels of stress that the IT professionals go through in their profession...Yes, at times this profession is demanding..and this cubicle life has kind of transformed the friendships and networks that we otherwise build over a glass of beer or a stroll in the park into different domains like Orkut & Facebook, where ppl are more or less doing a kind of virtual interaction.. Ofcourse there are immense benefits for these social networking sites, but then the shift from real life to online life has more or less happened with the Gen-X .. Now how you handle your wellbeing in this online life ? While drawing up plans for your day-today life, realize that you are a human..not a machine..Because if you plan things like 6 - 9 PM movie, 9 - 10 PM Tech design review or something like that, the probability that you screw up the review is very high..Because at the end of the movie, your mind might not be in a comfortable state t...

For the last couple of dayz, my gtalk status message has been "Extremely Busy", and believe me, I've been really busy. I don't think I've worked this much in the recent times... On a co-incidental note, I found that many of my friends in gtalk have status messages in a similar sense.. In addition to the usual"very busy" & " do not disturb" messages, some of them read (i) "Making me work is Cruel" (ii) " Not @ all Available " (iii) " Ping only in case of extreme emergencies " (iv) "Work is worship, but sometimes hardship too " (v) " Bugs bugging me too much " -- I notice that the number of people with such status messages have got way too high over the last week.. I know its a crazy thought, but has this 'too-much busy' schedules got to do anything with the increased duration of day-time ?? 3rd week of June has the longest days in an year..And today(June - 21 )...

Yesterday night , b'lore got its first summer showers this season..( Did I miss any ? ) .. The immediate beneficiary -- My bike , which got a free wash :) ... Now it looks very clean atleast to my standards .... Some days back a friend joked ( or was she serious :) ? ) that no girl would take a lift on my bike if I kept it this way ( Only bike part that I rub dust off is the mirror and seat :) ) ... Now that the rain Gods have been kind on that aspect lemme see if any luck ( chick ) comes my way :) .... But packed weekend plans now.. I'm off to Vizag and then to Chennai this weekend .. By the time I comeback, bike will be back in old condition :( .. and I being too lazy wont bother to clean till next service.. Or may be the next rain ... :) Ajith

Right from the day A.B. senior started presenting KBC -1, I was pretty much interested in that..I remember once in those days of land-line telephone system, I used to sit at home and try dialling those inaccessible Mumbai telephone lines and try to answer the questions given by them.. In those days, there was no funda of questions being flashed in the screen during the program..U call them ,if u r fortunate to get connected they'll ask u a question, for which u have to dial the answer in that IVRS . I remember getting connected twice and answering those questions, only to lose out in the next round of random selection... Now, in KBC-II and KBC-III after the advent of airtel, the situation is actually much worse.. I subscribed to an airtel package ( 99/- ) wherein they SMS me the questions and I've to SMS the answers to get shortlisted for random selection.. The charges are 2.4/- per SMS.. To tell u how airtel makes money, just have a look at the KBC entry quest...

Lot of tough things have been happening over the last few days , so thought of posting something light.... Below are a few funny incidents taken from my life which I could recollect now.. No malice intended towards the characters involved in the stories..Only intention is to have some good laugh =============================================================== 1. Venue NITC College hostel.. X and Y are two inmates in the hostel... X comes and knocks Y's room .. Y : Aaraa ?? ( Who's this ? ) X: Ninte Appan..Thurakkeda vaathil ( I'm Ur father..Open the door ) -- Considering the REC lingo, this was actually a very moderate answer :) -- Y Opens the door and X comes in to find another person in the room.. Y introduces to X the person inside the room.. "This is my father ,Mr. ....... " -- I was not present there to watch X's face....I wish Y had taken a snap of the occassion :) ============================================================ 2. Venue: Oracle Hyder...

I just wanted to wait till something like this came up to blog on this issue.. The story goes like this.. Shilpa goes to London to participate in Reality TV's show - The Big Brother -- which is known to make fun of its participants by all kinds of means ...There have been racist,sexual, feminist and all other kinds of allegations to this show over the past few years.. Mainly C-grade celebrities take part in this show for the prize money and publicity... Lot of celebrities have walked off the show vowing never to take part in that again... Under such circumstances, and when being offered a princely sum of 350000 pounds just for participation, our bollywood star should have understood that what was in store for her was not a cat-walk session.. And, to know about the credentials of participants in the show, do a google image search for "Jade Goody" , the main 'accused' in this so-called controversy.. and see what comes up in the first three pages.. ...
