Is there a thing called destiny ?

I believe yes.. There is something called destiny. Often people ask the question - " If everything is ordained , then what is the meaning of all which we do in our life ? If I'm destined to become famous in Computer Science, then why should I study ? why should I work ? Afterall it is guaranteed that I'll be famous one day "

The answer is a little bit complex.. The inner meaning of destiny is something different.. It does not mean that everything you do / receive is already decided somewhere.. It means that some chances will come your way. . It is your part to capitalise on that... Some say that Shah Rukh Khan was destined to become a superstar. I'll interpret it in a different way.. Shah Rukh came across some chances , in which destiny played a part...Infact many people would have had come across similar chances. But SRK capitalised on those opportunities...And ofcourse, fortune favours the brave.. Similarly at one point or other all of will come across some chances, it need not be in the avenue that we work upon..Could be in a totally different one. It is upto us to capitalise on those.

I'd put another aspect.. Ever wondered who'll be your life partner ? Someone whom you have not met at all..Someone sitting in some corner of the world ... Or it could be your very own friend.. But I definitely say that it is not fixed/ordained somewhere. Nowhere is it written that you'll endup marrying this girl... It is only that some chances will come in everybody's life . If you and the other person manage to communicate, and pick up those strings of destiny,u'll end up being together in life...

So the next time when you get to know someone and u think that he/she can be your life partner, realise that it is destiny which is giving you this chance... Give a try. It could turn out
to be a success...

Celluloid Messages

Saw two movies in TV.... Pretty old ones.
First one was Mani Ratnam's classic - Bombay ...
This is a movie that every Indian must see. .Wonderful camerawork coupled by a touching storyline..The roots of communal divide existing in India...I really wonder if people are really this much sensitive to this kind of propaganda...Just by hearing somebody did something somewhere,they take arms and massacre their friends in the name of community. If education has not been able to remove this kind of a mindset, the it is utterly useless...Unless India improves in this sector, these kinds of incidents are bound to happen at one point or other... Part of the blame goes to the beurocratic setup/constitution ..When you take a child for admission in a school , religion is one of the mandatory fields...The divide starts there... Although I'm a Hindu, if ever there is an option to put your caste/religion as 'Independent' ,i would love to go with that... Religion is an individual's personal freedom...It should not play a part in the governance we receive..

The second movie was an Anil Kapoor flick 'Nayak' - A Hindi remake of 'Mudalvan' ..Although this movie is an idealists dream rooting out the corruption in the society coupled with the usual gravity/logic defying action scenes, one part caught my attention...It is a kind of message to the people , especially the youth of the nation....It describes the way our life progresses... What we aspire to do/we end up doing in our life? ---
" Get a job with a huge salary, Marry a beautiful girl,have children, buy some land in some prime locality,build a house of your choice,and complain to all that the system/politics in this country is crap" ....
I dont believe that trying to achieve these things is a sin..Even these are things that every parent wants his/her child to achieve..And I'm no exception..I too want to get these so called 'materialistic' wealth....But ultimately when you look back at your life, if you have managed to contribute something significant to the nation/society , i would say you r successful in your life...Now it boils down to what these contributions are...Nobody has an answer...It is here that the so called 'destiny' plays a part...Most of us,at some point in our life will come across some opportunity to do something good to the nation/society..It is upto us to catch those opportunities and do something meaningful...

Well, a little bit philosophical... But I can't help...

My perspective.

It has been quite a long time since i registered here...A bit of uncertainity is always there in my mind whenever i tend to do anything like this which is visible to everyone..Anyway i'm venturing into this arena...

It has been more than one year since i set my foot in this city...Hyderabad,the mystic city
of Nizams and the ultra modern IT establishments....the city of delicious food and parties..
I still remember vividly the day when we got down at Begumpet Airport....And then , the next day we started exploring Hyd with a copy of city map....Oh..that was wonderful...And finally we managed to reach Hussain Sagar,...The atmosphere was totally new....

Last tuesday, i completed one year in Oracle.. .I cannot say that this tenure in great/excellent...but it has been certainly good..I feel i have had a good start to my professional career...
I would say, the darkest spot for me in last year was Sajid's demise... Like all of us,he too came here with lot of aims and plans in his mind... That incident really affected me a lot...
Still those memories remain..and will be there for ever...

Of late, some of my friends have told me that i'm getting increasingly philosophical...
I dont know really....But I'm certainly not one of those breed who discuss things like
'neoclassic surrealism' or 'theological evangelism' ... I tend to restrict my topics to those
which are relevant and practical to most of us....

So.... will get back with more n more posts..
