Magnificent Federer
Yesterday night I watched Roger Federer virtually destroying Andy Roddick in Wimbledon men's singles final. Calm,composed,brilliant ... The Swiss master was at his best. I've been seeing the Grand Slam matches from the 90's .. I've watched great players like Edberg,Becker,Lendl,Courier,Sampras etc... But I dont really think any of those will come near this man... Federer has got perhaps the best alround skills. A good serve, great passing shots, winners, anticipation, great net play, good baseline play.... And above all,I hav'nt seen him losing his composure in play... Winning or losing, he's bound to have that cool and emotionless face on court...I can't help admiring this man...I was a bit surprised when he gave into tears after the victory. Maybe , he has elements of emotion in him..Or maybe, great victories or achievements can unnerve the greatest.. His domination over the other top ranked players on grass has been supreme..
